4 Youth is a collaboration of four regional and global networks: Youth LEAD, Y+ Global, Youth RISE, and YPEER, formed the 4 Youth consortium under the Robert Carr Fund. All four networks are youth-led and have the common objective of strengthening the capacity of the young key population and young people living with HIV in their respective regions and globally.

Y+ Global underlines the role of strong partnership and sharing experiences in HIV response. It dreams of a stronger, resilient, and collaborative youth-led response, where global and regional networks/organisations work together to advance the global youth for HIV response.

The project aims to be utilized by respective country partners that access small grants from their various networks to promote capacity development initiatives.

4 Youth is funded by the Robert Carr Fund and led by Youth LEAD, Y+ Global, Youth RISE and YPEER.

Outcome of the RCF COVID-19 Exceptional Funding

The Robert Carr COVID-19 Exceptional Funding Opportunity Grant provided short-term impact funding to civil society and community-led networks with the specific goal of applying lessons of the first two years of the pandemic and to mitigate and adapt the impact of the dual HIV and COVID-19 crisis by expanding community-led efforts reaching the most vulnerable communities, and monitoring and creating more resources for HIV and COVID-19 responses for inadequately served populations.

Y+ Global achievements throughout the implementation

Conducting a situation analysis study of young people living with HIV and the available resources at a national level for YPLHIV to identify the COVID-19-related challenges of key and vulnerable populations and to map the available resources to mitigate the challenges
Development of a resources hub map for 9 countries on the dual HIV and COVID-19 among young people to disseminate resources and information for YPLHIV
Highlighted and showcased the initiatives, strategies, and efforts of networks in 9 different countries to reduce the negative impact of covid 19 pandemic on YPLHIV and provide access to information on the prevention and treatment of covid 19 and HIV
Support YPLHIV with basic essentials and with access SRH and HIV services at health facilities, hygiene & food packs, and leading the national campaign on COVID-19 and HIV in all the 9 countries
Leading a campaign on the violation and promotion of YPLHIV's human rights in the time of COVID-19. The resilience for change developed 4 videos, 9 infographics, and 9 carousels by sharing the publication of all the 9 country networks on the social media.
