The Global network of young people living with HIV (Y+ Global) is looking for a passionate and qualified
person to lead its secretariat in the capacity of Executive Director. In 2022, Y+ Global released its strategic plan from 2022-2025. The plan sets out three critical pillars that inform our approach to all areas of our work, including building our network, advocacy, programmes, fundraising, administration, governance, and working with partners.
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative person with strong leadership skills to implement the Y+
vision and mission.
Y+ Global is made up of a diverse group of young people, from a range of experiences, regions, and
ethnicities. We operate a non- discriminating policy towards persons, sex, sexuality, sexual
orientation and HIV status. For that reason, candidates must be anti-oppressive, operate in a manner
that supports equality and diversity. We strongly encourage those with lived experience
infected/affected by HIV and people from key populations to apply.
Applicants must support and believe in the importance of meaningful youth engagement (MYE)
and decision making and must feel comfortable to take direction from a group of young people.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Global Network of
Young People Living with HIV (Y+ Global) and maintaining Y+ role as the key youth organization for
young people living with HIV globally. They will be committed to the organizational vision,
mission and objectives always. They will oversee resource mobilization, and the development of
strategic partnerships with other national and international organizations. Representation of Y+ and
its values, will guide the organization's reputation and standing with the community, international
donors, and other key stakeholders.
They will supervise and coordinate the planning, design, and implementation of planned and
anticipated programs, provide technical expertise and actively lead key phases of operations. The
Executive Director will have full accountability for Human Resource, Finance and Administrative
Management in compliance with donor rules, statutory laws, and contractual obligations always.
