We will raise and amplify our voice to advocate for our right to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
We will hold decision makers in the HIV response to account.
We will do this by advocating for:
Youth representation within HIV governance structures
including policy, budgeting and other decision making spaces
The achievement of the Global Targets and transparency of
budget expenditure with a specific focus on meaningful youth
engagement and programmes specifically for young people
The development and use of ethical standards for inclusion
of and support to young people living with HIV.
We will represent our needs based on the voices of our network,
our collective knowledge, and our lived experiences.
We will be heard in all our diversity, and we will be clear on what
we are asking for – we will develop an annual advocacy plan,
which will be agreed and shared across our network.
We will develop effective and responsive youth led
communications, using the latest technologies, to communicate
with each other and externally.
We will build our collective capacity for effective advocacy via
training and facilitation, mentorship and evaluation.
We will seek to raise funds for global advocacy work and youth
representation in key policy spaces.
2.
Build Our Network
We will work collectively to build a strong and representative global network of young people living with HIV.
We will continue to build the Y+ Global network by formalising
our existing partnerships.
We will have regular communication across our network, utilising
online technology.
We will continue to build inclusive and diverse membership to
ensure an authentic and representative global network.
We will identify the needs and support the development of local
and regional networks by accessing funding and training.
We will work in collaboration with our network members on
funding and advocacy projects.
We will share learning across the networks and use this to inform
our strategy.
3.
Secure Our Future
We will be accountable to the next generation.
We will be strategic, not opportunistic. We will develop and
follow our advocacy and communication plan, our fundraising
plan, our operational plan and our annual budget and
expenditure plan. We will review our plans regularly and update
them.
We will focus on developing our organisational systems and
capabilities. We will seek to raise core funding for systems
development and capacity building. We will make it our policy to
include a budget for systems and capacity building in all funding
applications.
We recognise that as young professionals we must continue
to develop our leadership and advocacy skills. We will seek
mentorship and supervision from our partners in the HIV
response.
We will continue to develop excellent governance and effective
succession planning.
We recognise that we need to build future leaders in the HIV
response, and so we will seed the Y+ Global Alumni to mentor
and support future generations of Y+ Global.
CATS should be very careful when working with clients especially adolescents and young people. If the client show any attractions towards you, make sure that you do not seat with her in private areas alone and never ever establish any intimacy relationships with them. If you establish any relationships, you risk your reputation and clients’ confidence towards you.

CATS should dedicate most of their time in following married couples. There are many couples especially if one is HIV positive and the other couple do not know his/her status. Once one know the status by her/his won normally lead to family misunderstanding, marriage breakups and suffering of children. We should take a proactive roles in serving family institutions

I call upon all CATS to make sure that they convince their clients to make sure that they reveal their HIV status to at least one person their trust the most. Being free with your close associates help much in improving ART medication to clients

Community perspectives on issues around
HIV and SRHR hinders psychological and
health well-being for those affected. My
hope on this Zero Discrimination Dav is
that communities do not look down upon
those affected but rather support them
and create an interactive environment.

My hope is that individual differences
are celebrated, as diversity is natural
and life a mystery of uniqueness.
Sexual orientation, gender identity, age,
sex, health status, class are no grounds
for hate, stigma and discrimination. If
we say no to discrimination we can end
AIDS by 2030.

My hope is that people stop fearing to
go test for HIV due to stigma and
discrimination and that they also stop
fearing to speak about their HIV status
and accessing treatment that they
might need. Let us reject prejudice to
build a healthier community.

I use my voice to secure Our Equal Future. An equal future is where
SRHR are protected, promoted and free from coercion, discrimination
and violence. I believe that gender equality is a human right and
every AGYW is entitled to benefit equally to the same opportunities
as boys and young men.

I am not a voice to the voiceless because every girl and young woman has
a voice. As HER Voice Fund ambassador, I use my voice to influence and
amplify the voices of girls and young women who are not able to reach
policy making spaces. Girls need to obtain equal opportunities, enjoy their
rights and prosper in their future.

I remember at one point in my late teen life, my mother sent me to the local clinic to get her regular supply of contraception because she was too busy and caught up in some other commitments. I gracefully went there and met the shock of my life when the pharmacist asked me why I needed contraception and started judging me for sleeping around.

We envision a world where there are no new HIV infections. A world where young people can embrace effective measures to prevent new infections. For the next three years, starting August 2019 we are embarking on a journey that will enable us achieve a world free from AIDS and zero HIV transmissions.
